Our story
In order for you to know more about us and our company Kaitsuko, we feel it is essential to explain how our passion was brought to the design stage.
Our story began in school. We were two friends with a passion for cutlery and Japanese culture. Together, we studied for a long time the different manufacturing techniques, and especially the different steels capable of meeting our needs in terms of cooking. We naturally turned to Damascus steel.
Why Damascus steel?
Simply because this manufacturing technique, which involves forging, seemed to us to be the most qualitative. Damascus is a steel refining technique that gives the steel a very fine structure and great strength. It is also very beautiful, which makes it an excellent choice for knifemakers and collectors.
We traveled to Asia to find professional craftsmen. They shared with us their manufacturing techniques and demonstrated through multiple tests that the quality of this type of steel was irreproachable.
Following this, we studied the different materials available to create sublime ergonomic handles, and we set up our different collections.
We offer :
- Santoku Japanese knife - The best all-around Japanese knife
- Gyuto Japanese knife - Best Japanese chef's knife
- Nakiri japanese knife - Best vegetable cutter
- Deba Japanese knife - Best fish filleting knife
For many years now, we have been offering quality products available for all budgets. We have specific collections ranging from amateur to professional needs.
Our know-how and quality have been recognized and proven. As such, many companies have already agreed to partner with us.
So, what if you were the next star chef ? Because yes, a good chef cannot be without quality knives. Don't wait any longer !
